Since the rebirth of Route 66 as an historic highway in 1987, Route 66 interest has grown exponentially. Now, there are so many Route 66 shops and items featuring Route 66 on them. But in the beginning years of Angel and Vilma's Route 66 gift shop there were only a few simple items you could buy. This license plate is one of them. Designed in 1994, this classic black and white replica license plate features a map of Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles and many of the towns inbetween on the "Main Street of America"
